This week inside the Lab, we chat with Barbara Flynn, of People First Inc.
Barbara Flynn is the President of People First, Inc., established in 2000. The company provides payroll, human resource and bookkeeping services to small-medium size businesses.
Prior to starting People First Barbara served as
• Controller for a $23 million 16-location family entertainment operation.
• Co-owned a high-fashion jewelry manufacturing company based in New York. Partnering with the designer, she was the business mind of the operation, took sales from $250K in year one to $5 Million in year 5. She opened businesses in New York, London and the Philippines.
She achieves success with strong team-building skills and the ability to see projects through from start to finish. She has a keen sense for how things should flow and can easily develop processes that are efficient and effective.
She has been a guest speaker at various associations and organizations presenting a variety of business related topics.
Barbara received her Bachelor’s Degree in Language & Linguistics from Florida Atlantic University and received her Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management from Nova Southeastern University. She is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and SHRM-SCP. Which are the highest credentials obtainable in the human resources profession. She has been in the HR field for over 30 years.
